Step into imagined worlds through three artists’ playful, site-specific AR artworks within Fort Canning. In this digital art walk, a map interface guides participants to find AR art at specific points in the park. Participants view and interact with the artworks using their phones.

An early prototype of an immersive escape room experience that incorporates elements of sound design, technology, and interactive theatre. Inspired by George Orwell’s novel 1984, this is a 4-person, 50-minute game centred around themes of productivity and workplace surveillance.

Karaoke Poetry – Yeng Pway Ngon’s “White Bird”

Experimental Interactive Physical-Digital Prototype

Instead of singing the latest Mandopop hit, why not read out a Chinese poem? This interactive website for two players makes Chinese poetry fun and accessible through a karaoke user interface. As participants read aloud, they are invited to make choices that shape the mood and interpretation of the poem.

Katha & Kali – Story Play

A digital interactive about classical Indian dance produced for an exhibition at the Indian Heritage Centre. Using an interactive screen, visitors learn about different characters in the dance and practise each one’s signature gestures, before transforming into the characters through an AR photo filter.

AR Tattoos for Asian Festival of Children’s Content 2023

AR temporary tattoos based on works by 4 Singapore and Vietnamese writers. Designed for children between 7 and 12, these easy-to-apply tattoos can be scanned with your phone, allowing you to play with your favourite characters through simple yet imaginative interactions.

*SCAPE Dance Residency Showcase 2023

As part of Singapore Art Week, Tusitala mentored two participants of the *SCAPE Dance Residency. We guided the artists through the process of incorporating HoloLens, a mixed reality headset, into dance performances. The 4-month process culminated in ‘my_space’, a showcase from 6-7 January.

Part of the Singapore Heritage Festival 2022, Book Trips is an online literary map where you can explore Singapore’s past and present attractions through 15 short stories, essays, and poems. Read the book excerpts, play simple quizzes, and take touristy photos with AR filters created by local artists.

CYOA Interactive Tech for Good

A collaboration between Tusitala and The Tapestry Project, Crossroads is an interactive choose-your-own-adventure story that explores mental health challenges in the workplace. Readers will get to experience the perspectives of 3 characters at different stages of their career and arrive at different outcomes.

little red comma (2nd Edition) was once again commissioned by Esplanade Offstage from July 2022 – February 2023. The second edition features seven digital adaptations of Singaporean literary works that span genres of poetry and short fiction. Each work is originally illustrated, with audio by our partner Artwave Studio.

Being and Becoming: Of Femininities in the Malay World Through 50 Images
